Aaaah...the Derwent/Ladybower freshwater aquaduct!

One of the few last remaining working 'cotton mills' in Britain, with the largest working water wheels in Europe,(apparently). Well worth a visit but allow yourself a t least two hours to walk around the mill and the guided tour of the 'apprentice house'. Take a picnic

If you get peckish whilst walking around the Lake then get yourself a 'double cheeseburger'...it'll keep your strength up.
