Doug Richter's conversations

1971 Diid my basic train in the wwII barrack, Some of my best memories in the Air Force was here at LACKLAND AFB when boot camp was boot camp. But I spend 12 weeks were most did 6 weeks. The memories walk and marching from one side to the other, one of my drill sergeant, Wilkerson I can still hear his voice like it was yesterday little black guy but sounded like he was 6ft 6 and was about 300 pound. But when you seen him, completely different about 5ft 6 and A 150 Pounds what a great drill instructor. I would love to see that man one more time just to shake his hand. And thank him for his wisdom. Thank you LACKLAND AFB YOU MADE ME A MAN IN JUST 12 Weeks.

This building was once the Kinas Garage back in 1940s. I lived across a pasturein a regal home called the Pier Estate - the Town of Fond du Lac saw fit to tear down years later to put up high density housing off South Main Street. The Kinas family lived nearby and I was a good friend of Jerry Kinas one of the Kinas children.
