Pegasus Bridge over the Caen Canal at dusk, on the eve of the 60th Anniversary of D-Day. At 00:16 on 6th June 1944 three Horsa gliders carrying troops from D Coy 2nd Bn The Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, landed within 60m capturing the bridge after a brief engagement, becoming the first allied unit to engage the enemy during Operation Overlord.
