Hello everyone, I am in Rome and I'm retired. I worked in an airline, so I like to travel. I am a music lover and then I can appreciate a bit 'all kinds. When I can, I go cycling on the promenade of Ostia Lido (Rome). Since the children gave me a compact digital camera, I approached the photos, seldom I can achieve excellent results that many people show in PANORAMIO. SAVE PANORAMIO

Gracias Thomas . Me alegro que te guste . Un saludo muy cordial.

A beautiful, and sublime range, rising high and abruptly above the plains. Before, I had imagined this highest part of the Apennines as a gently, slighter topographic structure as this one. So there are another impressive mountains in Italian Peninsula outside of the highly majestic Alps with Monte Rosa, Cervino, Bernina, Dolomites and others.

So then you will be warmly welcome in Turkey, dear Enrico! Yes, there are a lot of beautiful mountains, like the Mediterranean Taurus, the Black Sea Range/Pontus (especially the Alps-like higher eastern part with Kaçkar mountain), then the Central Anatolian Erciyes extinct volcano (3916 m) or all others; but first of all, the world famous and Turkey's highest, most imposing and ice-capped volcanic cone Mount Ararat (Ağrı Dağı, 5137 m) at the easternmost country borders which is believed by some people to hide Noah's Arc high above... Greetings from İstanbul!

Many thanks, Enrico! It's Hasan Dağı (Mount Hasan), a 3268 m high dormant volcanic cone in Central Anatolin Aksaray province.

Many thanks very much for seeing my photos and for giving explanations about this mountain, its name and the legends that you know about this wonderful waterfall. Hope to hear from you soon. Greetings from Rome (Italy), Enrico

Thank you!
