Picture of Punta San Vigilio,(close to Garda) where in the early 50ths of last century the former British Premier , Sir Winston Churchill, spent some time while painting landscapes of the Lake. He was staying in Gardone Riviera at Grand Hotel Savoy and hired often local motor boats to be brought from Gardone to Punta S.Vigilio which was a trip of about 1 1/2 hour each leg. Sir Lawrence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, among the greatest British Actors, stayed instead at the Villa in Punta San Vigilio , shown on the above picture

I'm sure that you don't lie but if you look in google hearth or in a map of the zone the name of the town is BARBANO. I'm sorry but i can't change it now. If i will do that, probably another people will ask me to change the name again with the name indicated in Google.

ciao, gran bella foto, però non è la Madonnina di Agrate sono invece le Baitelle dell'Aralalta, a 20 minuti dal Rifugio ANA, allora solo Giuseppe Cazzaniga,dove sul finire degli anni '50 inizio '60 (la Funivia da Moggio al Castelli non esisteva: su a piedi d'estate , su con sci e pelli di foca d'inverno+ zaino da 20Kg) c'erano i "bergamini"con le vacche al pascolo e producevano un Taleggio ed una robiola da sballo

Caro Enrico, fino a pochi gg. fa ero aldilà del "digital divide" ora da 5 gg sono tra coloro,tanti, che hanno questa meravigliosa macchina che è google earth. Ho iniziato un gran viaggio nella memoria e manmano inserisco le viste del mio mondo.Attualmente sto nel Luinese........confine svizzero. Ciao Michael
