Steve Howard's conversations

This "church" was build over ancient roman temple in the XV century, and was formerly a iberian castle (castro) to control the passage of Anas river. His name is hermitage of "La Madalena" or "El templaero". Is near to Lacimurga ruins, ancient roman village very interesting too.

very beautiful photo

Greeting from IRAN

The view from our flats front balcony in Talarrubias. In the distance you can see the castle at Puebla de Alcocer... it looks much bigger in real life from here, and is lit up at night.

I just couldn't pass by this photo opportunity as I drove up the mountain pass towards the castle early one morning.

With the morning sun still low on the horizon, and the clouds hanging low right over the mountain top and castle, it really was too good to miss!

This terrific view of Embulse de Garcia Sola was taken from the roadside (the EX-316 from Puerto Pena to Valdecabeleros.

As we drove along a camino (track)we had to wait for a minute or two as this sheep lay in the way giving birth to her newborn lamb. She had selected this spot as it was in the shade of an olive tree.

In the distance you can see a part of the Orellana - or previously known as the Rio(river)Guadiana.
