most of these houseboats used to be situated on "Houseboat Row" over off of S. Roosevelt Blvd...because of politics and other pressures they were moved to the city Marina a few years ago ending what was for some a reasonably priced alternate living arraingement...FREE...there are few and far between people that live like this anymore...a dying bread...

This is a picture of onw of the mnost commonm modes of transportation in Key West...the bike is king but some would say not for the reasons you might think...in this town there are so many people that cant legally drive that turn to bicycles for their primary mode of transportation...it is not a bad idea and others take it up...but be careful because they will ride out in front of you every time...fair warning...

This is the daily get together at the Mallory Square Dock and is attended heavily...while it can get crowded at times it is DEFINATELY worth the effort...it is where you will see freelance entertainment that is spontaneous and comical.
