位于内蒙古呼和浩特市旧城东南部，原名金刚座舍利宝塔，因塔座上有五座方形舍利塔，故名为五塔寺。塔始建于清雍正年间，高约16米，塔身均以琉璃砖砌成，塔身下层是用三种文字刻写的金刚经经文，上层则为数以千计的鎏金小佛，刻工精巧，玲珑秀丽是一座砖石结构的喇嘛教塔，和首都北京大真觉寺五塔相比，也毫不逊色。塔后嵌有三副石刻画，分别为“须纱山分布图”、“六道轮回图”、蒙语“天文图”。
