The rivers certainly change from time to time, but this where I saw them in 2010. I have a GPS built into my camera which makes tagging photos to their locations really easy and accurate. I figured the water flowing through here was moving about 13 knots when I went through!

Only one hermit. His name was Valerio Ricetti, who lived alone in a series of caves and spaces between boulders along a 2-3 km escarpment here; he did dry stonework to build terraces for gardens, and to enclose spaces between boulders, and cisterns to catch water. He lived here in the 1920s to 1940s - a total of 23 years. Read in Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerio_Ricetti .

Mike, so you would like to have the right to stop any investment and development in PNG? Let em all stay in their villages, so you can trek through and take some pictures? Pity that filiarise would still be prevelant in Milne Bay Province as that dreadful company Placer Dome would not have worked with JCU to develop and distribute the vaccine. Get back in your cave, matey!
