Thanks for the nice comments. To answer 32tommy32's question, I used a Canon EOS 10D with a 50 mm lens. They don't make the camera anymore, but any SLR could have taken the picture. It was mounted on a tripod, and I believe the exposure was f/16 for 90 seconds. That's the beauty of taking photos of lightning, just open the shutter and wait. The lightning flash does all the work, you just have to be lucky and aiming in the right direction. :)
