LOOK NO FURTHER for accommodation, just hope there is a vacant room. Large bedrooms and en-suite in a 1651 house with earlier building from 1603. Jean (mine host) is overflowing with local knowledge so always ask. Two good restaurants nearby, The Lowther Inn 5 miles (north) and The Greyhound a mile (south). In 50 odd years of travel I have never sat down to such breakfasts. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed. I stayed between 18 - 21 July 2008 and was sorry to leave. I'll be back in September. Best ever.
