The shallow passage under the white wooden plank to the right is where one would enter the church compound via the cemetery. Its so lovely that one would imagine walking through the era of some 500 over years ago..

Nice little village of Smarden. We've been here recently. The Cherry Blossom tree to the left of this picture was in full blossom during Spring 09.

Oh, brother they are not picking fruit... these poor people are picking peas...I wish I didn't know, but I do...'cause I was one of them as a student long-long time ago. And that evil machine on the back is a famous rig. Loud, hot, stinks like onions. Even a few hot chicks from eastern Europe could not make up for that horror...

discovered this panorama for the first time on my way up from Llyn Vyrynwy. Used it as a short cut back to Dolgellau. It is difinitive Wales....I live less than 30 miles away in Conwy and never knew it existed..

What a nice photo. I often cycle past this church and am delighted to see it on GE. I have put a few of mine on just to test - I think GE could have fantastic historical and social significance.
