You love churches! Brian May (of Queen fame) and Vidal published a book "Village Lost and Found" on Hinton Waldrist. It has well researched 1800s personal histories and uses photographs taken by Williams to record villages before they were 'lost'. John Betjeman wrote a lovely compendium of English Churches, useful when hiking (heavy, so it stays in B&B).
Bella la chiesa di Sevenoaks! Una sera che, at-
traversando Knole Park, di nascosto ero andata con un paio d'amiche a Sevenoaks, vidi sotto il campanile una porta aperta, e dentro qualche uomo più che robusto, che appeso a un grosso cordone rosso, faceva suonare una campana, e lo stesso facevano gli altri. Il risultato era una bella musica a più voci. Poi tornammo quatte quatte al nostro piccolo college, dove erano accettate solo 19 allieve per volta. E che incredibili merende: torte di due tipi, una sempre al cioccolato, e squisiti pasticcini! Alcune di quelle allieve sono ancora amiche mie.

cesi e le belghe di lingua francese!
This is where my Grandfather Henry & Grand Mother Margaret Leupold are buried along with my two Aunts Betty & May, their children. Betty lived in the Old Stables Church lane next to this Church. Unfortunately her property was disposed of by the Vicar in 2003.
