you're right, I'm doing a lot of backcountry walking. but canyoning is out of my experience. Although there are a lot of granite rocks here I did not discover real "deeper gorges". some single rocks invite for climbing but the infrastructure/ access to these places are poorly/ not at all developed.

I suppose these were not mangroves as it is no saltwater there. That maybe local trees, some sort of fast growing.
Unfortunately I was never in Vietnam so I cannot confirm.
