Hi Feika, thank you very much for your positive comment to my photo. It is very impressive to see these abandoned villages on Cres Island ond to go for hiking in this area. The old houses make you think about the past. Ciao Christian

Hi JazzBaby, thanks for your comment. I apologise for the bad quality of the photo, but it is a scan of a colour-slide. I spent few nights there in 2007. My original plan was to drive all the way up to Beira and Cahora Bassa Hydroelectric Dam, but with my hired car I had to turn back after Maxixe, because of the more than miserable road conditions. So I stayed at Inhambane. Who are you, please call again! Chris

The SMS Koenigsberg was a light cruiser. I think a better title would be, "Wreck of the Somali, coal supply ship for WWI German cruiser Koenigsberg"

Hi Werther, I hope you remember me from our conversation during the Air France disaster in the near of this most outstanding place. You promised to publish more photos. Thank you man, to give us more views of this place. The big-wave-protection looks not very reliable, I hear the maximum hight of waves in the Atlantic can be sometimes around 20 Meters and more. What do you know, does the house still exist or is it meanwhile washed away? The Residents of these rocks are very beautiful! What a place on Earth!!! Do you know if the French are still searching for the Air France wreck? Thanks to you again, Christian from Bavaria, Germany

Hi Christian,

Yes, Kuterevo is a very particular spot! In the 2 months that i was there, i learned a lot about nature's beauty. all thanks to Ivan. and Butina is definitively a good place to be!! delicious food and incredibly nice people. I worked also a short time with the doughter of Tommi (Boss of Butina) She worked in the little shop and helped the local tourists.

amazing to see pictures, of such a small and unknown place, on the internet!!
