This is one of just a few nice old buildings remaining from 2nd World War and sovietic occupation. First nazis has bombed this nice city - Jelgava (old name - Mitau), then, when comes to Latvia Red army, they doesn't chose to renovate many of buildings, but simply bombet them all.
