sorry for my answer in English, but I do not speak French. I asked a friend to translate your comment.
Yes, the wheather really was fine in Tibesti, though we had a couple of days with strong wind and duststorm. But not on Emi Koussi, as you see in my pictures.
As per the flight we used Point Afrique from Marseille to Faya Largeau and back. We crossed Libya along Tibesti - Waddan - Misurata route and Namus was clearly visible from the plane.
Your photos were a great help for me before our trip to learn how is the landscape and the terrain in Tibesti. Unfortunately we did not visited Soborom, but I could stand on top of Emi Koussi, which was a very very old dream for me.
Toute votre série de photos sur le Tchad est des plus intéressantes, j’y reviendrai même si ça ne m’apparaît pas comme étant ce qu’on appelle « un p’tit coin de paradis » (brrr !...).

paesaggio spettacolare!!
ciao, Francesco
Amazing...
I saw such phenomenon only in Iceland, not mentioning the tiny Solfatara in Napoli.
What a landscape!
Insallah, in November I will stand on top of Emi Koussi... Tibesti is my absolute dreamland in the Sahara.
Beautiful scenery
