Great information. Beats what many others post, ie, "Canada", "Rideau Canal" I have posted over 2,000 pictures to date, and I try to get meaningful and accurate info to go with every picture. You obviously have the info. One fellow from China posted 113,000 pictures, none with a title, and little or not subject matter. His pictures have been pulled off. This is a valuable resource, Keep up the good work, Lets show others what can be done with it.

Showing above is the c1840 Lockmaster's House restored to 1840. The interior colours match paint samples taken. The house has gun slits and a wooden door proof against musket fire. The grey paint is of different shades as paint of the period was hand mixed allowing variation in tone. The furnishings reflect a working class family of that period. RMW Curator Ret.

This is a c1840 Blacksmiths Shop restored by Parks Canada, replacing the original tin roofing after 140 years! The interior tools are typical for the period although the anvil is more appropriate to 1860+. The original twyre was recast for the restoration. Shades of grey paint were typically applied to ordnance buildings of the period. RMW Curator Ret.
