Extract from BBC Wales article. "Simnai Dirdro (Twisted Chimney) by Brian Tolle is located near the village of Butetown, just off the A465 near Rhymney, Caerphilly county.

Tolle's first permanent UK artwork represents a former ironworks chimney that once stood in the Rhymney Valley.

Hand carved out of steel, the sculpture is 16 metres in length and twists eight metres into the air."

Nice shot, shadows are a good idea :-) Regards from England

Ainsley thats no postcard they would not have taken the shot with a tree in the way Glyn you managed to cut your finger out of the picture - All the Best H

Do you remember the colliery Glyn, and that awful road from Hafod to Pontypool? My dad drove the loco in the marshalling yards and up to the tips when I was a lad - that's a few years back now mnd!

Goes to show just how old i'm getting. I don't remember all those tree's being on that mountain.

That pond wasn't there when i lived in Aber. Looks alot better now. Thanks Glyn for all the cool pictures you posted around Abertysswg, brings back alot of wonderful thoughts.
