Fantastic photos of the dolphins ! I love it, thanks for sharing.

When I first came to Freeport in '75 this bridge was in place. I used to drive over it twice a day to and from work. The Florida construction company who built the canals had one more job to do before the end of their contract and that was to complete cutting the North end of the Grand Bahama Waterway. They could not get their barge and dragline under the bridge so they simply knocked it down, continued up the canal, completed the dredging, and left for Florida

nice fish...and tasty best of luck fishing the Atlantic/Harri

Miss Tosspot - I've been over to Lucaya 6 times now and over to a few other islands in the Northern Abacos. Yes, there are indeed roaches in these rooms - verified on two different visits and 6 rooms with folks that were there with me. (We've since elected to rent condos upon subsequent visits). Secondly, the apathy still prevails - aka Island Time I've been told. It shouldn't take 60 minutes to get a hamburger and wait 4 hours to clear Lucaya's customs (with only 2 other boats waiting with ours). Notably the folks at Grand Bahama Yacht Club across from here are always friendly and helpful. The people at West End, on Grand Cay and Green Turtle were absolutely wonderful, helpful and made the experiences there pleasurable. Perhaps Lucaya was better in 1978, but I'd prefer to stay elsewhere unless there is some other compelling reason to be at Lucaya.

Yes, but tasty. This is what is served as Mahi Mahi in restaurants.

Wow, how delicate looking.

That is such a great site to see.

The Chum Runner is an awesome name for a boat. Great looking boat too by the way, totally jealous.

In fact, there never was a bridge here. It was a road that was built by the US to reach a missile tracing station to the east. The road was cut through to complete the waterway from the south to the north shore.

Our Lucaya in the left side-Port Lucaya is so nice,But West End is Peaceful as in no tourists-next to boaters! man is the boat fee to enter the country still so high?weekends we would blast over in regatta's not any more! Brad Ingersoll
