Thanks for your snowy valley and ducks at darkness notes... Hoofed over the Packhorse Road and beyond to Blackstone Edge the other day... another fine lump of grit-stone with valley below..!

Let's hope for some chance of this later this winter? A wonderful valley for cold snowy photos!

Part of the street furniture outside the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle. The official address for the Laing Gallery is New Bridge Street, but as a visitor you may miss it following this road. Instead, head for Higham Place, the street that adjoins this Square.

Taken in the Square outside Newcastle's Laing Art Gallery on New Bridge Street, designed around the concept of a flying Persian carpet that has accidentally landed in the square - here impaled on street furniture.

Taken from City Road as we walked uphill from the Malmaison Hotel. I like the way the bridge nestles into the landscape as natural as anything but clearly one of the greatest unnatural constructions in the North East! The Bridge is currently closed (2007) due to cracks in the concrete pillars being detected.
