I am 69 and retired. I enjoy photography as a way to record places visited.
Steam trains are still a passion from childhood.
I have always lived in Birmingham and am married to my lovely wife Jackie.
We enjoy playing bridge playing at the Heathercroft & Northfield clubs.
We have joined the National Trust and are enjoying visiting their properties.

Thank you both so much for visiting this scene from Severn Valley, taken on the Flying Scotsman weekend, and also of course for the awards. Alan, I am pleased to got to see Foxcote Manor, of course I know it well from Llangollen Railway.
As you both know know, I will be using another site for pictures, it will just take me a long time to learn how to use it, make comments, likes, favs etc!!

HiDave The Amercan built engine belongs to the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire there are a few of them about one on the K&WVR and I think one at The Nene Valley they did run over here in WWII.Best wishes Alan.
