It's not racism... Also, I don't believe that google is the one that makes the map data. Other companies provide it to google.
In the US many things are not properly labeled. If you look at google street view you will often see the wrong city listed (even though the other map data is correct).

My wife noticed something strange happening in the sky just before sunset on June 18, 2007. This photo was taken from Kibbutz Ketura in the Arava Valley north of Eilat. Venus is just emerging from behind the crescent moon.
