Caldwell was the best kept secret. When I arrived we had less than 50 people on the FOB. By the time I left when the 82nd came in... over 300, then again it was TF 300 lead by a Greek. Go figure. And yes, I'm very familiar with the "incident" no one likes to talk about that occurred at the very beginning.

We actually called it Shareban when we were talking with Iraqis but because of the change we had to call it by the name it was officially known as. I actually never met an Iraqi, young or old, that ever called the area "Muqdadiyah" on first thought.
