Hello. Thanks for your interest. Since reading your comment, I've checked with www.norfolkchurches.co.uk and with the Genuki website. Both give the spelling as Lawrence. Next time I'm in Brundall I'll take particular care to examine the name board outside the church.
I used to spend family holidays in this inn nearly 50 years ago. What happy memories this photo brings back although it has changed a lot. Is that grassy area still a bowling green?
I'm not a Southwold resident, but go there from time to time because it's such a lovely place. This photo' was taken near to the Harbour Inn, a well known watering hole, which lies at the end of York Road, Southwold.
St Felix School still exists (for girls and boys these days) and lies on Halesworth Road, Southwold, about two miles from the Harbour Inn, I'd guess. You can find out more about the school by Google-ing "st felix school, southwold". There's quite a lot of stuff there.
Good photo again. The pub is called the "Ber Strete Gates", using an old spelling of street. It's not quite properly positioned on the map. I suggest: 52 degrees 37'16.27" N and 1 degree 18'18.04" E. 16 August 2007.
