Is that Phu Loi? Some friends from the NH National Guard were there with a 155 mm towed artillery unit there. Some times I went to the PX when I drove over from Phu Cuong.
I was a crane operator with the 41st Engineers who built the bridge in the beginning. I also went back after the bridge was blown up. I left on the 28th of December to go home.
I remember the 25th guarding us and the bridge while we were there
Hi fmarshall. Enjoyed your shots. This particular capture is nice. Quick correction though. I believe this is actually rapeseed (canola), which along with wheat, peas, and lentels, is a major palouse crop. thanks for sharing.
