As human beings, with feelings and mind, I think that we can do some steps ahead.
Personally, these six years, using Panoramio, were really very productive and I learned a lot of things about photography and its techniques, making a lot of friends and excursions with them.
Human contact is more important, than every interactive communication, we know it well, but we also enjoyed our conversations via comments or personnal messages, many times confessing things, that even in our real friends we don’t.
I think this solution is better for all of us. Nobody deserves a treatment, like that one we had last two years. Panoramio itself didn’t deserve a treatment like this!
If Google decided to make a step ahead for earning money, although it was stated from the company that Panoramio should be alive after the results of the first petition, we can do more steps ahead in our real life, making travels and taking photos for our pleasure and for sharing with friends in other sites, whatever they will be. Sometimes money isn’t the real profit. Our common journey through Panoramio was our gain.
Dear friends, we keep our contact via Facebook, 500px, flickr and Ipernity, or something new at the future. I am wishing to all of you, at first good health and all the best on every way you choose to follow.

Also ich werde das so machen: Bei Flickr & Co werde ich mich demnächst anmelden, ein paar Fotos hochladen und dann sehen wie mir das gefällt... oder nicht. Ein upgrade auf Guuhgl + mach´ ich nur dann, wenn gar nix anderes mehr geht... Und Pano lass´ ich solange stehen wie möglich, will ich doch sehen wie das dann aussieht.
mene - Ich bin Deiner Meinung. Und wie lange die einzelnen Plattformen weiterbetrieben werden kann man halt nicht sagen... Einstein meinte ganz trocken: "Vorhersagen sind schwierig, besonders dann, wenn sie die Zukunft betreffen! ;-)
Tanja - Richtig! Bei Ipernity sind - nicht alle - aber viele Ex-Panos. Das mit dem warm welcome unterschreibe ich sofort. Ob ich letztlich dabeibleibe entscheide ich nach 200 Fotos, das hängt eben auch von einer guten Alternative ab. Wichtig ist eben auch eine fuktionierende Gemeinschaft! Bei IP ist das so.
cp_u - So isses! Die Dummheit und Arroganz amerikanischer Unternhmen wird nur noch durch ihre Gier übertroffen!!
Markus - GUTER TIPP! ...gleich mal gucken!
Im übrigen ging ich damals zu Pano, weil die Bilder auf GE zu sehen waren. Und weil´s für lau war. Und ohne Werbung. Aber is ja bald nicht mehr... :-( Wenn ich eines meiner Fotos sehe weiss ich sofort, wo es aufgenommen wurde; in fast allen meinen Bildern sind Geo-Daten enthalten. In der Zukunft wird mir der GeoSetter weiterhelfen.
