Larry Workman QIN
I grew up in Indiana with an interest in art and drawing. After graduating from Purdue University, I received my first 35mm camera from my parents. I spent three years with the Peace Corps in Ethiopia working on a reforestation project. I "inherited" darkroom equipment from a previous Peace Corps Volunteer and took both black and white negatives and color slides.\ \ I next began working for the Quinault Indian Nation on Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula. There, I helped establish the foundations for a forestry program then later produced publications related to natural resources where I was able to use my photo skills.\ \ I only switched to digital in late 2000. I currently managed the Quinault Centralized Communications Program. I enjoy photography and natural science.
