Thank you for posting this pic - it's very well done. I grew up about 1/2 mile from where you took this one, and it's good to see photos from the old "home town".
If I remember correctly, this particular monument was actually the "Rush Valley" Pony Express station. Faust is the one over by, well, Faust - along SR-36 just north of Vernon.
Unfortunately, the old shack has been slowly ripped apart by people who appear to be using it for firewood. It has also suffered damage by people drawing graffiti on the remaining walls.
