Love all your photos. I grew up in Abertysswg and lived there from 1956 until 1976 when I left to attend Leicester University. Your older photos bring back some very strong memories and the newer ones show me how much/little the place has changed. I look forward to seeing more of them.
My father Cyril Jones worked here as a Blacksmith, making sure the Ponies working both underground and on top were properly shod. My Grandfather Thomas Jones, worked underground for many years. If I may go back one further generation, my greatgrand-father, David Roberts, was the under manager here at Maclaren at it's beginning. I escaped and became a Teacher / Headteacher in Kent
