This is the Millenium stone directly opposite to Brackenhall Countryside Centre on Shipley Glen. The starting and finishing point for the Millenium Way path system

Shipley Glen. Popular since Victorian times as place used for recreation by millworkers who worked in Salt's Mill which is close to Shipley Glen. The area is a huge expanse of millstone grit above a wooded valley which has been eroded by water and ice over the many millions of years.

This is on Shipley Glen which consists mainly from millstone grit. This is one section of the millstone grit which has been eroded over the millions of years through water and glaciers. The pathway leads to very old quarry workings where fossils can sometimes be found be found.

This is Brackenhall Countryside Centre on Shipley Glen. Near Baildo, Baildon Bank, and a mile from model village of Saltaire. The centre is popular for educational visits and there are many interesting artifacts on display in the centre.

Part of King's cave on Arran. A fairly easy walk from Blackwaterfoot to the south. about 3 miles each way. It was a scorhing hot day and I sustained severe sunburn to my forearms.In my backpack I carried my little heximin cooker and my supply of tea and coffee and a snack. A very enjoyable and peaceful day.

During Lamlash festival week in July we were treated to a rescue demonstration by the coastguard team. Image was obtained with Canon EOS 5 on 200 ASA film.
