my dad retired, took to metal detecting here,and found a 1685 golden guinea.the only british coin with two monach's heads on, william and mary.the next day he was in our local newspaper and guess what, the next day he was followed around this beach by a large company of fellow metal detectors, so he led them a merry dance leading them away from the cherished location.school children would come to the beach on nature walks.the teacher would aske dad if he had found anything, cue!!!!! a free history lesson on kings queens and british coins.god bless you dad.ray thorpe.
