I dived on this site in Sept 1986. A great dive. Definitely a Catalina. You can enter via the port side gun turret, swim up the fuselage and out through the cockpit window.
My wife and I stayed in the very bungalow pictured here in May 1992. We were among the first guests to stay at the hotel and in fact, had the whole place to ourselves for the better part of a week until another couple showed up. The place was really wonderful. We became friendly with the French chef who cooked wonderful meals every day. We attended the "Grand Opening" ceremony and got to meet the President of Tahiti. It was kind of surreal. The pool was still under construction but we had the whole place to ourselves. So sad to hear of its ruin. We had no idea the place had just opened. I stumbled across it looking to make a reservation at the Hanna Ranch in Hawaii.
! Bravo ! jefftoulon
Bruno: Magnificent photo, congratulations! I am sure Bora Bora is a very nice place. In this photo you show us the golden clouds as if they had fire, contrasting whit the dark limit of the vegetation! I sent to you my best desires from Uruguay, Maldonado. Greetings Teresa
