Marek Blaszczakiewic…'s conversations

Hi, Peter, No this is the place where the former workers of the phosphate mining operation used to live. They came mostly from other Pacific islands / nations and this place was built for them. Marek

haha this reminds me of that stranded boat in destiny for some reason... god do i love being a hunter? Don't you agree?

seems like i never left.....a few new buildings though...reading sp brownie and currakid we must have been there same years. I was 1956 through to 1974. went to ela beach primary and later went back and worked all over PNG in later years

Looks parliament-ish.

Are these still in use? From what I read, phosphate mining had them living the good life for a while, but left the island country bankrupt and destroyed. An environmental and economic disaster.

Snow is so beautiful when the sky above is blue! :-) this is an eye catching photo. Regards -Leszek

Lovely shot Mark!
