This is the very first picture I uploaded to Panoramio in August 2007, and as at April 2009 had been viewed over 28,000 times. I took this picture as just a 'snap' with a new camera as I was walking over a road bridge - it was not intended to be a masterpeice. But . . . .

It has now been selected by Google to be the feature picture in one of their 'blue spot' pop-up information panels on Google Earth. Go to Stockport, UK. In the river between Wellington Rd N and the viaduct you will see a blue spot titled "Stockport Viaduct" - single-click it!! (you will need to check the box in the "layers" panel, Layers>Primary Database>Geographic Web>Places>Places)

Anyone can have their panoramio pics put onto Google Earth but only a relativley few people have them actually featured by them. I am really proud of this acheivement.
