Oh I know that village San Pietro in Musio, also populary called San Pietrello (Little Peter) because he was another secondary saint, not the first famous pope San Pietro (first Pope).
The Italian economical crisis has involved the tourism too and now is more easy to find a cheap farmhouse without get crazy searching for it.
I'm sorry for my poor translation.
Greetings from this beloved places, Luigi.
Oh Yes! I know very well this mountains! I see them everyday from my town for my first 18 years!
Monte Catria is the one on the left and Monte Acuto is at the right.
I like so much this photo! These are my places!
Sorry again for being a fuddy-duddy. As to it being beautiful, I grew up in Leek and Biddulph and it is only know when I see photographs or go back (I live in Munich) with my German girlfriend, that I see how beautiful it really is. I suppose you get to see it through other people's eyes, when they are new to it.
Definitely undiscovered country and yes, the towns are a little ramshackle but it is real England. My girlfriend thought Leek was great too. Not many spots left like this in England, some in Shropshire I know of, Hereford too.
