My dad worked on this ship in the early 70s and I remember going on board a few times; it's sad to see her in this state. I still have a Canadian flag that flew from her stern post that he gave me before he died!

When did she give up the fight? I tried to find some info on the net about her to no avail?

I worked on Lake Winnipeg in the mid 70's on a survey crew. We used to meet the Selkirk in the middle of the lake as we were crossing from Grand Beach to Gimli. I Agree she should be moved to the museum and restored.

I worked on the Portage Diversion when it was being built. It was first used to divert water to Lake Manitoba in the spring of 1970 to prevent flooding downstream.

The MS Keenora was a cargo ship Bringing supplies to northern Lake Winnipeg. The Bradbury was operated by the Federal Government as a bouy tender and research vessal on Lake Winnipeg. Both are now part of the maritime Museum in Selkirk
