I was home to the KVP company, and I believe it was 1934 that KVP obtained the official city status for Parchment. Kalamazoo had many paper factories 100 years ago. Here is a site with pics of a couple mills: http://www.alliedpaper.org/ A couple of mills came down as early as the 1970's and 1980's... so long before "Al Gore invented the Internet", thus little is documented about them. He could have worked for any mill in the greater Kalamazoo area. PM
