...and that of my English father Edward Gilbertson Galligan; grandfather Edward (and grandmother, nee Florance Whitehead); and great-grandfather (and great-grandmother, nee Mary Ann Johnson, of Wallasey, out on the Wirral) John, born Ireland, once a Village postman in the late 1880's. At the Formby Golf Club grandfather learned the game, then came to America with it in 1913. I call my Long Island, NY country-place FORMBY, for that is where in England my father was born.

I wish I was there.....
