We can only see from the other side of the bridge, which is just out of the photo, just past the Red phone box (past the Give Way sign). The are is inside the Resticted Zone, and the public (dat's me!) stay out...

I'm afraid the Catherdral is not looking too good at the moment.
We have a lot of damage in the city and more aftershocks with a total of over 7000 since Sept 4 2010.
