Well, ok, one more distand picture from the Boč tower, but the last one. Bad whather.

Yeah, the zoom can go much longer, but i wanted to show the whole resort area. Be warned though, the wheather was not very good, cloudy and windy, and the wind caused toogether with the movement of the visitors quite some 'tower-quaking', so the pictures are not as clear as they should be.

Boč is not that particualry high. Especially when you get to the alpine hut by the car. But this was much different than last year when i hiked to the top of Pohorje almost every other day, i haven't been anywhere this season, so i got pretty much out of breath in the middle of the climb.

Left - longer but easier route. Right - shorter but more difficult. There was also a path straigth to the top. We went that way.

The castle was declared as an important cultural building by the government decree sometimes at the end of 1990's. Unfortunatelly in Slovenia this means - 'nobody knows who it belongs to so nobody is responsible, nobody gives a damn, so let's just let it fall apart'. Well, a lot of people do give a damn, but they are orderd not to do anything by people who don't care about a thing but their bureaucratic papers.

Unfortunatelly the main entrances were all boarded and we didn't look for some hidden ones. We'll have to go back sometime to see it from the inside. And make some photos.

Overpass to the upper level of the castles north-east wing. It leades to ruins of the adjucent bulding, it looks like it could have been stables. Below runs a stream and a narrow road goes up in the hills. The entrance in the castle was walled off.
