The Greek Minister of Mercantile Marine, Manolis Kefalogiannis,
plans to make Greece a centre of container transshipment "N E A R T H I S P I C T U R E". Therefore he asked all the "big players" of world economy to invest in Greece. Among other projects, it is planned to build a container port for up to 2 million containers a year on the shore of South Crete (Timbaki).
