I believe this is "Yankee Jim" road and the bridge is actually the colfax-foresthill suspension bridge. Do you have anymore pictures of it? I'm headed that way next week. Looks like a great swimming area.

You're right, thanks for the correction! What a silly mistake.

What were these firemen doing? It must be 2500 feet to the other side and 700 feet to the ravine. I use to go over the bridge every few weeks going up to Forest Hill and it is the highest bridge I have ever seen and I am not sure but I think it is the highest in California. It is hard to see just how far it is to the bottom unless you are looking over the edge.

I walked across the bridge and stood in the middle. When a truck goes over the bridge is moves all over the place. It is kind of spooky out there. The bridge is quite a sight. You can cross it and look down and then you can go a mile down the road and turn right towards Cool and go down that steep hill road that has a couple of switchbacks and find yourself under the bridge looking up at it. It is a beautiful sight. Thanks for the photo. It has been years since I have got to go down there to visit. Ah, our old memories. ;-)

It's not strange that the leaf is sticking up from that crack. It's really an awesome find. To think that that leaf fell from a tree and somehow floated down and ended up like that. Pretty cool...I think. Nice job!

Thank you very much I appreciate the compliment. I can only imagine how spectacular the view must be from above. I have only seen BASE jumpers but next time I'll be sure to keep an eye open. Happy Flying!
