Het is een prima plek om te overnachten. Toen wij er waren, was er toevallig een grote groep jongeren voor wie gekookt werd. Ik weet niet of dit ook voor individuele gevallen geregeld wordt. Verder is hier in de buurt helemaal niets te verkrijgen. Wél kun je, als je op tijd ben, in het nabijgelegen Visitor Centre een patatje nemen of zo. If you look very carefully to the right of the walker, you will see the slender outline of the Decca Navigator Mast. I was the engineer in charge of that station, my excuse for living in that beautiful location.

That is Ballydavid Head and village.

This village on the hillside is called Ballydavid or Bailegaw in Irish.

Thank you for comment the photograph 'Larichfrasken - Auchnafree House'. In mine opinion the track Ardtalnaig-Amulree is the most beautifull part of the Rob Roy Way. It is also a very quiet place to be. In the evening and in the night (at Lechrea), we heard the sound of silence. Kind regards, Adriaan

This is a beautiful photograph.

Larichfrasken is the house to the rear of your photograph and the building in the foreground is Auchnafree House.

I have many happy memories of being brought up as a young boy in the glen; where my father was one of the estate shepherds; with literally 1000's of acres to play in and on.

This is one of the best Grouse Moors in perthshire, and abounds with wildlife deer and the now,almost indeginious, blackface sheep.

I recall 900 hares being shot on the part of the estate to the rear of Larichfrasken COTTAGE IN A SINGLE DAY, such is the abundance of the animal.

This was one of our favorite hostels... Cheers from Canada
