Hanspeter Freiermuth's conversations

Hello Peter A very beautiful shot, the name of this mountain is Silberhorn "silver horn". Greetings from Switzerland hpbiker

Very nice photo! Like! Greetings,Darijan.

I don't know if this is still standing, Hp, after the 7.1 Mag earthquake we had Sat 4/9/2010.

Lot of damage around the city, with a lot of older style buildings losing their stone frontage - thank bloody goodness it was at 4:35am in the morning. If it was at 10am or 10pm, we would have hundreds of injuries and deaths.

The queens corgis may not be standing so steady now - maybe she will recall them...

Hp biker, would you remember noticing that those trunks were pretty well embeded in the sand? This action is typical of beaches where the driftwood is thrown up by waves and then the wind dries the beach sand, which gets blown all around the place, often coming to rest beside the driftwood.

This happens on all beaches which are fine sand. Cheers, P.

If you want to know where the wind blows, just check the trees.... P.

Sehr schöne Stimmung, mit der Fischzucht. Gruss nach Zeiningen

The name Grundarfjörður is misspelled. With icelandic letters it is Grundarfjörður but with english letters it should be written like Grundarfjordur. It's not þ in the end of the fjords (and towns) name, it's ð (like a d with a line and a curve). So it's with capitals GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR (Grundarfjörður). Yours respectfully, Halldór Páll Halldórsson

this shot is of Napier...Taihape road..beyond Kaweka forest camp..... not up Golden hills stream as depicted
