Thanks for posting this! From 1969-1971 I taught mathematics as a Peace Corps volunteer at a vo-ag school located in the buildings (an old Morrison-Knudsen construction camp) just to the north of the road and east of the river. Last I heard 5 years ago or so they were being used by a madrassah.

I also recognise this location in the village of South Chah-e-Anjir. Home of the AHCC who built the Green Zone. Not as safe as it was back then.
