I worked in Naxos in the summer of 82,this photograph brought back many fond memories of my time there.I picked grapes up on the hill to the right of Moni Chrisostomou for old Sperios who supplied the grape-juice for the Monastery for their wine,we had to trample the grapes after being brought round from the farm on the donkey,I could go on but I wont bore you,Lol,Ps I had my 25th birthday on the island while working in the restaurant "Mikres Kyklades"next to Lalos and Wendys bar which is now a Greek folk club,Ps it was Lalos'es father who had the farm,regards Davy from Scotland.
I just loved this old station,old Australian style to be replaced by a glass frontage,have the town planners never heard of listed buildings?what a farce in place of an historic building such as this,so sad.
I used to work there in the summer of 82 when Lalos and Wendy had the bar,there was a big American guy who was the chef,I used to do the tables which were on both sides of the road,bloody hard work but good fun.I ended the season in the restaurant up the small lane to the right which was then called Mykres Cyclades,small Islands,great memories and great times,cheers.

This boat is docked here due to the filming of "Outlander" in Dysart harbour.
