I spent some time in Esselborn in 1964 and 1965, as much as the army would let me, and found the people where very friendly. Of course it helped that my aunt and uncle (Johanna and Wilhelm Mueller) from a long time ago lived there and I stayed with and their 2 children, Ute and Norbert. Again I was able to travel there in Nov 2008. The town has some newer homes but the people are still very friendly and warm. We were able to ride bikes from Esselborn to other small townswith no trouble. I would like very much to return.
