This bridge is actually a very historic bridge and I believe is on the National Register of Historic Structures. There used to be glass marble plant on both sides of Simpson Creek and the bowstring bridge connected the two.
We very much enjoyed our stay there. I enjoy staying on the resort property much more than at a nearby hotel. You can't beat the shuttle service to the parks!

The lines you see in the picture are power lines providing the juice needed to power the communication towers on Thicketty Mtn.
