Truth be told, I really don't know! I'm going to Charleston for my daughter's HS graduation in two weeks, I know some people who might be able to fill us in.

Thanks Dave! Even though the sky was grey, I still think this is a great shot b/c of the sidewalk. I also like the contrast of the grey sky with the steeple.

I was driving through the graveyard looking for a great spot & the sidewalk presented itself for me just like this. To me it represents the path through death (the graveyard) towards eternal life is Christ (the church) and as always, the Steeple further points the way towards heaven.

So many Baptist churches here in the south look so similar, it's a relief to have the surroundings play a role in the picture and give it deeper meaning.

Best Wishes to you as well! Michael

The weather wasn't kind to us on this trip. That day it was only 42 degrees, despite the forecast of 70. Snow/sleet the day before. Our flight almost didn't make out of Midway Wednesday night due to heavy rain & thunderstorms! That's the way it is in Chicago this time of year! Expect the unexpected!

Very neat. Thanks for the information. It's a beautiful building and you can just see the road in the picture. That is different that it faces the cemetery. Best wishes, Dave.
